AHEPA strongly condemns the desecration of the Holocaust Memorial in Kavala, Greece, which occurred June 21, and appeals to the people of Kavala, and all Greek citizens, to come together to defy this act of hatred, intolerance, and bigotry. AHEPA also calls for the swift apprehension of the perpetrator(s) of this unacceptable act. The Memorial stands in in memory of 1,484 Greek Jews from Kavala murdered at the Treblinka concentration camp.
