Glyfada Chapter HJ-2

In the ancient period, the area was a deme known as Aixone (Αιξωνή). Today, Glyfada is packed with some of the capital’s best-known nightclubs, upscale restaurants and shops. It could be argued to be one of the most “Americanized” of Athenian municipalities, since an American airbase was located nearby until the early 1990s. The base’s population contributed in part to Glyfada’s character, leading to a unique blend of Greek and American atmosphere and cuisine.

Glyfada Chapter HJ2 was established in 1991

01/02/2014 - AHEPA Glyfada Family Night

AHEPA Glyfada chapter HJ-2 held another Family Night event yesterday, after the “4th of July” event in July, the “Meet & Greet” coffee in November and the “Bowling & Chili night” in December.

Part of the AHEPA Mission is promoting Family & Individual Excellence. We had a great group of 50 friends, family and children enjoy excellent food and parea (company).

We were honored to have District Governor Nick Papadopoulos with his wife Veronica, 1st Past District Governor Tony Gremos, George Dussias, PDG, the Athens chapter HJ-1 President Kostas Kozyrakis and VP of Family & Individual excellence attending.

Looking forward to our next event – “Fish n Chips” night in March!!
